KKR Captain Rahane Faces ₹12 Lakh Penalty in IPL 2026!

Ajinkya Rahane, captain of Kolkata Knight Riders, has been fined ₹12 lakh for maintaining a slow over-rate during their IPL 2026 match against Chennai Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. The penalty was imposed following Match No. 22 of the tournament.

As per Article 2.22 of the IPL Code of Conduct, which deals with minimum over-rate violations, this was KKR’s first offence of the season. Consequently, Rahane faced a fine of ₹12 lakh, with further penalties expected for repeated breaches in upcoming matches.
