With rising temperatures across the state, Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha has directed officials to ensure immediate treatment for heatstroke victims. Special arrangements have been made in government hospitals, including installation of fans, coolers, and air conditioners where needed, along with adequate drinking water facilities in all wards and waiting areas. Dedicated emergency teams are also being set up in hospitals.
The minister also stressed the importance of public awareness campaigns to prevent heatstroke, especially targeting workers, farmers, and drivers. He instructed officials to ensure backup power through generators and take preventive measures against fire hazards in hospitals. Citizens have been advised to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged exposure to heat, and seek immediate medical help if symptoms of heatstroke appear.
