One should keep acting till the last breath - Mammootty

Malayalam superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal are coming together for the film Patriot, directed by Mahesh Narayanan, slated to entertain audiences this summer. As part of the promotions, Mammootty shared some interesting insights about his career in a recent interview.

Mammootty revealed that although many believe his career spans 50 years, there was actually a 9-year gap between his first and second films. He made a small appearance in 1971 with no dialogues, and only started his continuous career in 1981 after practicing law for two and a half years. Over the years, he has acted in more than 400 films, including small roles, villainous roles, and supporting characters. He emphasized that anyone entering the industry must have the strength to endure pressure and a passion to keep acting until their last breath. Mammootty added that true greatness in the film industry comes from giving 100% to every role on set.
