

Rains are lashing the Telugu states due to the remnants of Cyclone Ditwa. According to the Amaravati Meteorological Center, a low-pressure area over the northern Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coasts (as of 8:30 AM on December 3, 2025) is moving slowly southwestward and is likely to weaken further over the next 24 hours. This system is extending a trough up to Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala.
In Andhra Pradesh: On Wednesday (December 3), light to moderate rains or thunderstorms are expected in many places across North/South Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema, with heavy to very heavy rains possible in 1-2 spots. Squally winds of 30-50 km/h are anticipated. On Thursday and Friday, light to moderate rains in a few places; heavy showers accompanied by thunder are likely in Nellore, Tirupati, Prakasam, and Kadapa districts. In Telangana: Light to moderate rains today in southern districts; dry weather expected on Thursday and Friday.
