Supreme Court of India has directed that all objections related to voter identity cards must be resolved by April 7. The court took note of a communication from the Calcutta High Court while issuing this direction, amid concerns over discrepancies in electoral rolls and voter identification.
The apex court emphasized the need for transparency and accuracy in the electoral process and instructed authorities to complete verification and grievance redressal within the given deadline. This move is expected to strengthen trust in the electoral system and ensure fair practices ahead of upcoming elections.
