Ram Navami celebrations were held at the historic Raghunath Temple in Srinagar after a gap of 36 years. The event witnessed participation from local Hindus and Muslims, as well as Kashmiri Pandits and devotees from across India and abroad. The temple is currently undergoing reconstruction, and idol installation has not yet been completed.
During the event, temple committee representatives emphasised that the return of Kashmiri Pandits to the valley is possible only with the support of the Muslim community. Local Muslims expressed a strong sense of brotherhood, stating that both communities have lived together for centuries. Many attendees became emotional while recalling the days when such festivals were celebrated jointly along the banks of the Jhelum River.
