The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is intensifying its probe into the Delhi blast case, conducting multiple raids across Jammu and Kashmir. Early Monday morning, NIA teams carried out searches in several locations, including a businessman’s residence in Handwara, as part of the ongoing investigation into the terror network linked to the incident.
Officials revealed that the businessman is suspected to have connections with individuals who supplied weapons to the accused involved in the case. Several crucial documents and digital devices have been seized during the raids. Earlier this month, similar operations were conducted in Pulwama, Kulgam, Shopian, Baramulla, and Kupwara districts. Meanwhile, protests in the region recently posed challenges to the investigation. The NIA also confirmed the arrest of two more individuals who allegedly supplied arms to suicide bomber Umar Nabi, taking the total number of arrests in the case to 11.
