A deep tragedy has struck the family of Tollywood actor Rahul Ramakrishna. Known for his natural performances, Rahul is grieving the loss of his brother, who reportedly died after exposure to Paraquat, a highly toxic herbicide. Sharing the heartbreaking news on social media, Rahul’s emotional post has drawn condolences from film personalities and fans alike.
Paraquat is a widely used agricultural chemical for weed control but is considered extremely dangerous. With no known antidote, it acts as a silent killer once it enters the human body, severely damaging vital organs such as the lungs, kidneys, and liver within hours. Rahul highlighted the alarming rise in deaths linked to this substance, stating that even medical professionals are deeply concerned about its impact.
Despite his personal loss, Rahul Ramakrishna has taken a socially responsible stand by urging authorities to ban Paraquat immediately. He has written an open letter to the Prime Minister’s Office and the Telangana Chief Minister’s Office, calling for strict action. The chemical has already been banned in several countries, yet remains accessible in India, sparking outrage among netizens. A social media campaign titled Ban Paraquat is gaining momentum in support of his demand.
