Google has introduced new tools for its Gemini app to make it easier for users to switch from other AI chatbots. The update allows users to import personal context, preferences, and even complete chat histories, reducing the hassle of starting fresh on a new platform.
The new memory import feature helps Gemini quickly understand user preferences, relationships, and interests. Users can access this option through the Settings menu, generate a summary from their existing AI assistant, and import it into Gemini for better, more personalised responses from the beginning.
Additionally, Google has introduced full chat history transfer support, enabling users to upload past conversations and continue them within Gemini. The company says this builds on its personal intelligence capabilities, enhancing contextual interactions. The new features are rolling out to both free and paid users starting now.
