Devotional fervour swept across the Telugu states on the occasion of Vaikuntha Ekadashi. Marking this auspicious festival, special prayers and grand celebrations were held at major temples, with the shrines witnessing heavy footfall from early morning and resonating with a deeply spiritual ambience.
At Tirumala, the Mukkoṭi Ekadashi festivities commenced with great splendour. As part of the celebrations, the sacred Uttara Dwaram (Northern Gate) of the Lord Venkateswara Temple was ceremonially opened and special rituals were performed. The priests conducted elaborate worship after opening the holy gate, enabling devotees to have an auspicious darshan amidst scenes of devotion and reverence.
Several prominent personalities participated in these sacred rituals and offered their prayers to the Lord. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy visited the temple along with his family. Telangana Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad, Union Minister Rammohan, Andhra Pradesh High Court Judge Srinivasulu and Assembly Presiding Officers Ayyanna Patrudu and Raghurama Krishnaraju were also present in the Lord’s service.
Andhra Pradesh Ministers Payyavula Keshav, Nimmala Ramanaidu, Satyakumar, Kollu Ravindra and Kondapalli Srinivas offered their prayers. MP Vemireddy and his spouse, noted actor Chiranjeevi along with his family, Indian cricketer Tilak Varma, and leaders Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy, Roja and Mithun also had darshan, adding prominence to the occasion. Additionally, Bharat Biotech Managing Director Krishna Ella and Managing Director Sucharita Ella visited Tirumala and sought the blessings of Lord Venkateswara, further enhancing the grandeur and significance of the sacred celebrations.
