Good News for Telangana Employees: CM Announces DA as Sankranti Gift

On the occasion of the Sankranti festival, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced good news for government employees. He stated that one pending Dearness Allowance (DA), which should have been given earlier, will now be paid. With this decision, the DA of government employees will increase by 3.64 percent.

This DA hike will be implemented now with effect from July 2023. The Chief Minister has instructed officials to issue the related orders immediately. Due to this decision, the state government will bear an additional financial burden of around Rs. 227 crore.
