RTC Workers’ Unions Warn Telangana Government

RTC workers’ unions in Telangana have warned the state government of a major strike, stating that it could take the form of a large scale protest similar to past mass movements. The unions announced that if their demands are not addressed by April 21, they will go ahead with the strike from April 22 without any hesitation.

Union leaders stated that all worker groups, including those outside joint action committees, are extending support to the strike. They also cautioned the government against attempting to weaken the protest by deploying private staff, asserting that they are prepared to counter such moves. The unions emphasized that the strike will begin from the first shift on April 22 if no positive response is received.
