The Consumer Commission has imposed a penalty on Ola following a complaint regarding defects in a vehicle. After hearing the arguments presented by the complainant and reviewing the case, the commission delivered its ruling.
Santosh Reddy, a resident of Nallagandla, purchased an Ola vehicle on November 9, 2023. He stated that the vehicle developed frequent issues and that the problems were not resolved even after approaching the service center. As a result, he approached the Consumer Commission for relief. After the hearing, the commission directed Ola to pay the vehicle cost of ₹1,19,999, insurance charges of ₹7,243, ₹5,000 towards case expenses, and an additional ₹5,000 as compensation to the complainant.
