The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has revised certain regulations to provide relief to small exporters and importers in the services sector. Under the revised norms, transactions worth up to ₹10 lakh will be exempt from reporting requirements. The move is expected to make business operations easier for small enterprises by reducing the regulatory burden associated with cross-border transactions.
The revised rules also provide flexibility to non-individual exporters in filing Export Declaration Forms (EDF) and submitting reports through the Import Data Processing and Monitoring System (IDPMS). The RBI’s decision aims to simplify compliance procedures and reduce the paperwork involved in international trade. The changes are expected to support small businesses and improve ease of doing business in the services sector.
