The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority has achieved a remarkable milestone by completing a 14-storey residential building in only 95 days in the Chikhali area. This achievement has been officially recorded by both the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records as one of the fastest construction projects of its kind.
To accomplish this, nearly 9,000 workers were involved, working continuously in three shifts. The project made use of advanced precast technology, where major structural components were manufactured in a factory and later assembled quickly at the site.
The building is part of an affordable housing initiative and includes 112 flats meant for low-income families. Despite the rapid construction speed, the structure is designed to be earthquake-resistant and follows all modern safety standards. This project highlights how modern technology can deliver quality housing in a much shorter time.
