Wasim Khan, former CEO of the Pakistan Cricket Board, has stepped down from his role as General Manager at the International Cricket Council (ICC). He served in this position for four years after taking over from Geoff Allardice in 2022. Prior to his ICC role, Wasim Khan worked as the CEO of the PCB for three years. Even though he has resigned, cricket circles suggest that he may take up another significant position in the near future.
Over the past two years, the ICC has witnessed several major changes, with top-level officials stepping down from their roles. Along with Allardice, Anti-Corruption Unit officials Chris Tetley and Alex Marshall also resigned. They were replaced by Gaurav Saxena and Andrew. Notably, Wasim Khan was born in England and began his cricket career there. Despite having Pakistani roots, he never represented Pakistan in international cricket but played a key administrative role as PCB CEO.
