

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said that ensuring the safety of women and children is the top priority of the Telangana government. As part of the Prajapalana Pragathi Pranalika programme, he flagged off Spandana emergency response vehicles from the Telangana Command Control Centre. Later, he held a meeting with city police officials and peace committee members, where he explained the measures being taken for women’s safety. He stated that women need security and confidence to move forward in education, employment, and business.
The Chief Minister said that special teams are already working to prevent harassment and violence against women, and the newly launched Spandana teams will provide round-the-clock support. He added that the government is taking strict action against drug abuse and called on society to act responsibly. He also highlighted welfare measures for women’s economic empowerment, including housing schemes, loans for self-help groups, and free travel facilities.
