Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed strong displeasure over the protocol dispute that erupted during the Pithapuram Area Development Authority (PADA) meeting. He questioned repeated controversies and advised TDP constituency in-charge Varma to avoid turning every issue into a dispute. The Chief Minister said that any local problems should be brought to the attention of party leadership or government authorities instead of escalating them publicly, as it creates unnecessary confusion and damages party discipline.
The controversy reportedly began after objections were raised over the absence of the Chief Minister’s photo in a flex banner during the meeting. This led to heated arguments and a scuffle between Varma and former MLA Dorababu, escalating tensions among TDP and Janasena workers. Chandrababu Naidu directed state TDP president Palla Srinivasa Rao to resolve the issue and ensure such incidents do not recur, emphasizing that internal coordination and discipline are crucial for coalition unity and public confidence.
