BRS is holding protest programmes across constituencies in Telangana today, with working president K.T. Rama Rao participating in the protests in Karimnagar and former minister T. Harish Rao taking part in a farmers’ protest and youth conference in Dubbaka. In Karimnagar, KTR alleged that the Congress government had failed to fulfil its promises and said ministers and the Chief Minister were fighting over shares and commissions. He also claimed that unemployed youth who once supported the government would now hold it accountable.
In Siddipet district’s Habsipur, Harish Rao participated in the ‘Rythu Polikeka’ protest and criticised the Congress government over farmers’ issues. He alleged that free power had become ineffective and accused the government of weakening the Rythu Bandhu scheme. Harish Rao further alleged that the Chief Minister was acting at the behest of millers and brokers and said the government should step down if it failed to deliver justice to farmers.
