Jana Sena Party is reportedly working on a detailed strategy for the upcoming local body elections in Andhra Pradesh. As part of the proposed seat-sharing exercise, the party is said to be preparing a list of positions and seats it wants to contest as part of the alliance arrangement.
According to the information available, Jana Sena is seeking around 5–6 mayor posts and up to 9 Zilla Parishad chairperson positions. The party is also reportedly eyeing approximately 25 municipal chairperson posts. In the MPTC and ZPTC segments, Jana Sena is said to be targeting around 30% of the seats.
The party is reportedly showing particular interest in contesting from important cities and urban areas, including Eluru, Kakinada, Vijayawada, Ongole and Tirupati. The proposed seat-sharing formula is expected to be discussed further before a final decision is taken.
A final discussion on the proposals is expected after Pawan Kalyan returns. Until then, the reported numbers and seat-sharing demands remain part of the ongoing discussions within the alliance.
