The NDA alliance has achieved a resounding victory in the Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections. Out of the total 227 wards, the BJP won 89 seats, while the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) secured 29 seats. With these two parties together winning 118 seats, the NDA has secured the Mayor's post.
Meanwhile, the Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray Shiv Sena (UBT) won 65 seats, and the MNS won 6 seats. The Congress secured 24 seats, AIMIM 8, NCP 3, Samajwadi Party 2, and NCP (SP) won one seat. These results clearly demonstrate the strength of the NDA in Mumbai's local politics once again.
