Former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni has once again made headlines, this time for a traffic violation in Ranchi. A vehicle registered in Dhoni’s name was reportedly found exceeding the speed limit a few days ago. The Automated Traffic Monitoring System (ATMS) detected the violation, following which the traffic police issued an e-challan of ₹1,000 under Section 183 of the Motor Vehicles Act.
The incident reportedly occurred near Dhoni’s residence in Ranchi. While such violations are common, the involvement of the cricket legend quickly made the matter go viral on social media. Earlier as well, Dhoni was in the news after the Jharkhand State Housing Board issued notices alleging that his old property on Harmu Road was being used for commercial purposes, even though the land had been allotted strictly for residential use.
