The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority has forecast a sharp rise in temperatures across the state, with heatwave conditions expected to intensify. Officials stated that temperatures in Rayalaseema and coastal districts are likely to range between 42°C and 44°C today. Severe heatwave conditions are expected in 46 mandals, while 73 mandals may experience moderate heatwave conditions.
Authorities have urged residents to take necessary precautions to protect themselves from extreme heat and humidity. On Tuesday, temperatures above 40°C were recorded in 262 mandals across the state. The highest temperature of 45°C was reported in Ontimitta of Kadapa district, highlighting the growing severity of the heatwave.
