Renowned playback singer K. S. Chithra has shared an emotional post on social media, remembering her late daughter Nandana, which has deeply moved fans. Sharing a beautiful picture of her daughter, Chithra expressed her enduring grief, stating, “The reality that you are no longer with us will always hurt. Until we meet again, you will forever remain in my heart.” Even years after her daughter’s passing, the pain continues to linger, reflecting the depth of a mother’s love and loss.

Nandana, the only child of Chithra and her husband Vijay Shankar, was born in 2002 after many years of marriage. Tragically, she lost her life in 2011 in a swimming pool accident in Dubai at a very young age. Despite this personal tragedy, Chithra has remained dedicated to her illustrious career spanning over four decades, singing more than 25,000 songs across multiple languages. Fondly known as the “Nightingale of South India,” she has received numerous accolades, including the prestigious Padma Bhushan and several National Awards.
