Gram Panchayat Reservations Finalized; Election Schedule Expected This Week

The process for Gram Panchayat elections in Telangana has gained momentum. The government finalized the reservation lists on Monday, and district-wise gazette notifications are set to be issued today. These details will then be forwarded to the Election Commission.

The High Court is scheduled to hear the matter on Monday. Once the court gives its go-ahead, the Election Commission is expected to announce the complete election schedule within the next two days.

Preparations are underway to conduct the Gram Panchayat elections in three phases next month. The Chief Minister and ministers are likely to discuss the proposed election dates during the Cabinet meeting scheduled for Tuesday.
