

Veteran filmmaker S.V. Krishna Reddy’s 75th birthday was celebrated in a grand manner at the Filmnagar Cultural Center in Hyderabad in the presence of several prominent personalities from the Telugu film industry. On the occasion, the making video of his 43rd directorial venture, “Vedavyas,” was officially launched. The film is being produced by Kommoori Pratap Reddy under the Sai Pragati Films banner and presented by veteran producer K. Achi Reddy. Marking a special milestone, S.V. Krishna Reddy was honoured with a World Record recognition by Telugu Book of Records International for composing music for 38 of the 42 films he directed. The upcoming film “Vedavyas” introduces Pidugu Viswanath as the lead actor, while Korean actress June Hyunji and Mongolian actor Sharan Bold Segmen are making their Telugu debut. The film has completed shooting and is currently in the post-production stage.
Speaking at the event, producer Kommoori Pratap Reddy praised S.V. Krishna Reddy as a visionary filmmaker whose family-oriented entertainers combined entertainment with meaningful social messages. He stated that “Vedavyas” explores the greatness of the Vedas and the scientific knowledge embedded within them. Several industry veterans, including Murali Mohan, Relangi Narasimha Rao, Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao, Damodar Prasad, Ashok Kumar, Laya, Srikanth, Ali, JD Chakravarthy, and Shivaji Raja, lauded S.V. Krishna Reddy’s immense contribution to Telugu cinema and wished him continued success. Expressing gratitude, S.V. Krishna Reddy thanked all the guests, collaborators, and well-wishers for their unwavering support and hoped that audiences would extend the same encouragement to “Vedavyas.” Producer K. Achi Reddy described the film as a prestigious comeback project and expressed confidence that it would showcase S.V. Krishna Reddy’s creative brilliance on a grand scale.
