Government Issues Final Notification on Formation of New Districts in Andhra Pradesh

The Andhra Pradesh government has issued the final notification on the formation of new districts in the state. As per the notification, Markapuram District and Polavaram District have been officially created. Polavaram district will have Rampachodavaram as its headquarters, while Markapuram will serve as the headquarters of Markapuram district.

The government has also announced the creation of five new revenue divisions across the state. Along with this, changes have been made to the boundaries of certain revenue divisions and mandals to ensure better administration and governance.

With the formation of these new districts, the total number of districts in Andhra Pradesh has increased to 28. The government stated that these changes will come into effect from tomorrow.
