A huge influx of devotees has been witnessed at the Srisailam Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple due to the ongoing summer holidays. Devotees from various regions are arriving in large numbers to offer prayers and fulfill their vows. In view of the increasing crowd, the temple administration has permitted Alankara Darshan of the presiding deity.
To manage the heavy rush, the temple authorities have cancelled recommendation-based VIP break darshan from last Friday until today. Arjita Abhishekams and Kumkumarchanas on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday have also been suspended temporarily. Only devotees who booked Sparsha Darshan tickets in advance through online reservation are being allowed in two phases. The waiting time for darshan is currently around five hours.
