The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported the formation of a new low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal. According to IMD, the system formed over the south and southeast Bay of Bengal on Monday and is likely to weaken over the next 24 hours. However, its impact may trigger heavy rainfall in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema districts from the 9th of this month.
Meanwhile, dense fog is currently prevailing over the coastal districts, and the IMD said this condition may continue for the next four days. Moderate fog is also expected across all districts of the state during this period, according to weather officials.
