A massive traffic congestion on the Char Dham Yatra route in Uttarakhand has caused severe hardship to pilgrims and tourists. The situation turned critical near Joshimath on the route to the Badrinath shrine, where an unexpected surge of vehicles brought traffic to a standstill.
Reports indicate that vehicles remained stuck for nearly 15 kilometers from Vishnuprayag, while the overall traffic jam extended up to 25–30 kilometers. Thousands of travelers were stranded on the road for hours. Even emergency ambulance services were affected, raising serious concerns about the situation and crowd management in the region.
