Revanth Reddy has expressed strong dissatisfaction with the Revenue Resource Mobilisation Sub-Committee, asking officials to focus on increasing government income instead of just holding meetings. He reportedly said that spending money is not the real challenge, but generating income is what matters most. During a recent cabinet meeting, he questioned the lack of visible results despite multiple discussions and asked officials to prepare clear plans within 100 days to boost revenue.
The Chief Minister pointed out that pending dues to employees and retired staff are increasing, while efforts to improve revenue are not strong enough. He warned that people will not accept excuses about lack of funds and will see it as a failure of the government. He stressed that it is important to ensure timely payments and better financial planning.
Revanth Reddy directed the committee to come up with practical proposals to increase income and clear pending dues. He asked them to submit a detailed plan by May 4, after which another cabinet meeting will be held to review progress. The government aims to use the increased revenue to settle all pending payments and improve financial stability.
