The Telangana High Court has ordered an investigation into alleged irregularities in the Hyderabad Cricket Association. The court directed that the probe be conducted by a Special Investigation Team under the CB-CID. It also instructed that the Apex Council function under the supervision of Justice Naveen Rao.
Hearing a petition filed by the Safilguda Cricket Club, the court stated that autonomy does not exempt the association from judicial scrutiny in cases of corruption. Justice Nagesh Bheemapaka emphasized that courts will intervene to ensure transparency when irregularities occur. The court further directed officials and staff to fully cooperate with the investigation.
