Royal Challengers Bengaluru registeared an impressive five wicket victory over Gujarat Titans at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Chasing a target of 205 runs, RCB successfully reached the total in 18.5 overs. Virat Kohli scored 81 runs and Devdutt Padikkal added 55, providing a strong foundation with their half centuries. Krunal Pandya finished the chase with a quick unbeaten contribution.
Earlier, Gujarat Titans posted 205 for 3 in their innings. Sai Sudharsan played a brilliant knock, scoring a century, while Shubman Gill contributed 32 runs. The duo shared a 128-run opening partnership. Later, Jos Buttler, Washington Sundar, and Jason Holder added valuable runs to strengthen the total.
Despite a strong total, Gujarat could not defend it as RCB batters dominated the chase. The partnership between Kohli and Padikkal proved decisive, and although Gujarat bowlers fought back in the end, it was not enough. With this win, RCB climbed to the second position in the points table.
