Tadicherla-I Open Cast Mine Wins Five-Star Rating Award Once Again

Tadicherla-I Open Cast Coal Mine, operated by the Telangana Power Generation Corporation (TGGENCO), has earned another prestigious recognition by securing the Five-Star Rating Award for the financial year 2024-25, announced by the Union Ministry of Coal. The award recognises the mine's outstanding performance in mine management, implementation of safety standards, environmental protection and sustainable mining practices. The mine had previously received Five-Star Rating Awards for the financial years 2020-21 and 2023-24. With this latest achievement, Tadicherla-I continues its record of excellence in mining operations.

The award ceremony for the 2024-25 Five-Star Rating Awards was held on November 2 at Mayfair Lake Resort in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The award was presented by Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy and Minister of State Satish Chandra Dubey. On behalf of TGGENCO, the award was received by B. Nagya (IRTS), Director (Coal and Logistics) and owner of Tadicherla-I Coal Mine, G. Srinivasa Rao, Superintending Engineer (Coal and Commercial) and Mine Agent, and P. Mohan Rao, General Manager (Mines).
