

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed officials to repair the three barrages within the Kaleshwaram project and bring them back into operation expeditiously. During a review meeting held at his Jubilee Hills residence, attended by Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, he issued clear guidelines to this effect. He stated that the repair works must be completed in accordance with the recommendations of the National Dam Safety Authority, and directed that a special action plan be formulated to ensure continuous monitoring. He further ordered that all necessary tests and sample collection be completed before the onset of the monsoon season.
Officials informed the Chief Minister that a comprehensive study is required on the entire barrage at Medigadda, including the section that has subsided. The CM suggested that a specific plan be prepared to drill 500 borewells at the site. He directed officials to procure the necessary machinery to accelerate the pace of work and to formulate a schedule aimed at completing the project by December. He made it clear that there must be absolutely no delays in the execution of the works and assured them that there would be no issues regarding the allocation of funds.
