POCSO Case Filed Against Monalisa’s Husband Farman Khan

A POCSO case has been registered against Farman Khan, the husband of social media sensation Monalisa, by the Madhya Pradesh Police. The case was filed on allegations that he married a minor. According to reports, Monalisa, a resident of Maheshwar, met Farman Khan through social media, and their relationship eventually turned into love. As her father opposed the marriage, the couple left for Kerala and got married at a temple in Thiruvananthapuram following Hindu customs.

The controversy escalated after questions were raised about Monalisa’s age. A complaint was lodged with the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes, which initiated an investigation. Hospital records revealed that she was born on December 30, 2009, making her only 16 years old at the time of marriage. It was also found that the couple allegedly used a fake birth certificate to register their marriage at a local panchayat. Based on the findings of the investigation, police have registered multiple cases against Farman Khan under relevant legal provisions.
