India is reportedly exploring an unusual proposal to strengthen security along the India-Bangladesh Border by considering the release of crocodiles and snakes in border water zones. According to reports, the Border Security Force (BSF) has instructed its regional units to examine the feasibility of this idea as part of efforts to curb illegal infiltration and criminal activities from Bangladesh.
However, officials have clarified that the proposal is still in the preliminary evaluation stage and has not been implemented. Authorities have pointed out that there are several practical and environmental challenges associated with such a move. The government continues to assess multiple strategies to enhance border security while ensuring ecological balance and safety.
