Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy strongly criticized the Amaravati capital plan and made serious allegations against N. Chandrababu Naidu. He claimed that Amaravati has become a center for corruption and is being promoted mainly for earning commissions through contracts. Jagan said that instead of Amaravati, his government had proposed Mavignan as a better capital option.
He explained that the proposed Mavignan capital would connect Machilipatnam, Vijayawada and Guntur through a 110-kilometer corridor, aiming for balanced development. He also spoke about the three-capital idea, suggesting Visakhapatnam as the administrative capital, Kurnool as the judicial capital, and Amaravati as the legislative capital. He added that Mavignan was offered as an alternative for those who opposed the three-capital system.
Jagan also announced that he would begin a padayatra next year to connect with people. He criticized the “Super Six” and “Super Seven” promises, saying they failed to deliver results. According to him, the current government’s manifesto has not been properly implemented and better decisions are needed for the state’s development.
