A devastating fire accident has struck Tamil Nadu once again, this time in Virudhunagar, where a massive explosion occurred at a fireworks manufacturing unit. The powerful blast resulted in the death of 18 people, while nine others sustained severe injuries. Fire department personnel rushed to the spot and are actively working to bring the raging flames under control.
The intensity of the explosion was so severe that several nearby structures were completely destroyed. Many workers are feared to be trapped under the debris, raising concerns about the death toll increasing further. Authorities have intensified rescue operations to save those still stuck beneath the rubble. Notably, a similar explosion had taken place in the same region just a week ago at a fireworks storage facility, highlighting ongoing safety concerns.
