In Ameenpur, a major encroachment removal drive is being carried out under the supervision of HYDRA. The fencing work around vacant government land is nearing completion, with operations that began on Saturday continuing late into the night and resuming again on Sunday morning. Authorities have already demolished nearly 90 percent of an illegally constructed six-storey building reportedly built by Azeem, brother of Mukheem. Special care is being taken to ensure that nearby apartment structures remain unharmed, which has slowed down the demolition process.
Meanwhile, fencing work is progressing across nearly 861 acres, with HYDRA officials closely monitoring the operations. Local residents have extended full support and expressed appreciation for the initiative, stating that the action has brought them a sense of security. Many said that earlier they lived in fear, but now feel reassured after HYDRA’s intervention. They also thanked the government for protecting vacant lands and preventing illegal encroachments. Residents praised HYDRA’s strict action against land grabbers who allegedly misused hundreds of acres for massive financial gains, calling the initiative a much-needed step towards restoring order.
