Vijay, president of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), launched a sharp attack on the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) government and Chief Minister M. K. Stalin during an election campaign rally in Kanyakumari district. Addressing the gathering, Vijay outlined his party’s governance model, promising a corruption-free administration powered by Artificial Intelligence. He assured that under TVK rule, people would no longer need to apply for welfare schemes or pay bribes, as benefits would directly reach their homes.
Speaking at the Mahadhanapuram meeting, Vijay announced plans to introduce a “Priority Card” for every family in Tamil Nadu, similar to Aadhaar, containing comprehensive household data to ensure seamless delivery of welfare benefits from birth. He alleged widespread corruption in the current administration, stating that bribes flow from lower-level officials to ministers. Vijay emphasized that his proposals are practical and technologically feasible, not mere rhetoric. He promised to implement the “Tamil Nadu Government Services Scheme” within six months of coming to power and to launch the “Vetri Tamil Nadu Super App” for unified public services. He also pledged to involve citizens in governance through a dedicated portal and vowed to transform Tamil Nadu into India’s digital capital with a separate AI ministry.
