

Veteran filmmaker, writer, and producer Bharathiraja has been hospitalised once again in Chennai, where he is currently undergoing treatment. Actress-producer Radhika Sarathkumar visited him at the hospital and shared an emotional note, mentioning that she initially hesitated to release their conversation but decided to share it after being moved by his words about a National Award.
Bharathiraja, who won the National Film Award for the Telugu film Seethakoka Chiluka, is celebrated for his remarkable contributions to Tamil and Telugu cinema and was honoured with the Padma Shri in 2004. Now aged 84, he had previously been hospitalised due to respiratory issues, with false rumours spreading at the time. During Radhika’s visit, he reportedly appreciated her recent performance and expressed confidence that she would win a National Award, a moment that has now gone viral online.
