Microsoft has officially announced that it will discontinue its Outlook Lite app for Android users. The lightweight version, designed for low data usage and entry level smartphones, will stop functioning completely from May 25, 2026.
The company introduced Outlook Lite to support users with slower internet connections and limited device storage. However, Microsoft is now streamlining its mobile email services by focusing on a single unified Outlook platform integrated with Microsoft 365.
According to the company, users will no longer be able tduo access emails, send messages, or manage calendars through the Lite app after the deadline. Microsoft has advised users to switch to the main Outlook mobile app, where all data including emails, contacts, and attachments will sync automatically.
