

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu thanked the Union Cabinet for approving new railway line projects in the state. In a post on social media, he expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs for clearing the Rajahmundry (Nidadavolu) to Visakhapatnam (Duvvada) third and fourth railway lines.
He said that as part of the project, a 4.3-kilometre railway bridge over the Godavari River will be constructed. This is expected to reduce traffic congestion and save travel time for passengers. The new lines will also improve connectivity between different regions, making both passenger travel and goods transport easier and faster.
The Chief Minister added that the project will connect important pilgrimage places like Annavaram, Antarvedi and Draksharamam, providing better travel facilities for devotees. He also mentioned that the project will support industrial growth and port-based economic development. According to him, these developments are a step forward towards achieving a prosperous Andhra Pradesh and a developed India.
