Kolkata Knight Riders registered a thrilling four-wicket victory over Rajasthan Royals in Match 28 of IPL 2026 at Eden Gardens on April 19. Chasing a target of 156, KKR reached the total with two balls to spare, marking their first win of the season. Despite early setbacks in the chase, the team held its nerve to finish strongly in a closely fought contest.
Earlier, Rajasthan Royals posted 155/9 in 20 overs after a promising start from Vaibhav Suryavanshi (46) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (39).
However, KKR bowlers Varun Chakravarthy (3/14) and Kartik Tyagi (3/22) restricted the scoring, with Sunil Narine picking up two wickets. In reply, Rinku Singh’s unbeaten 53 off 34 balls, supported by Anukul Roy’s 29, guided KKR to 161/6 in 19.4 overs, sealing a memorable comeback win.
