The Indian Army has reportedly relaxed its social media rules to some extent. According to defence sources, soldiers and officers have been allowed to use apps like Instagram and X. However, this permission is strictly limited to viewing content and accessing information.
They are not allowed to post, like or comment on social media. In view of serious security risks, the Army has provided this facility while strictly following safety rules. Officials say the decision helps soldiers stay informed without risking national security.
