An interesting update regarding the much-anticipated big sequel “Jailer 2”, starring superstar Rajinikanth and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, is currently making waves in Bollywood circles. According to reports, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was approached for a crucial guest role in the film, but he has reportedly declined the offer politely. Despite high expectations surrounding this collaboration, it is being said that due to scheduling conflicts or other reasons, Shah Rukh Khan and the film team mutually decided to step away from the project. Earlier reports suggested that he would appear as a powerful police officer for around five days of shooting.
With Shah Rukh Khan opting out, director Nelson is now reportedly on the lookout for another leading star to take up the role. In this context, the name of Telugu senior superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna is being strongly speculated, although there has been no official confirmation yet. Meanwhile, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal is said to have already completed his portions for the film. Additionally, Kannada star Shiva Rajkumar and Vijay Sethupathi are also expected to play key roles in the project.
Produced by Sun Pictures, the film’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, and the shooting is currently progressing rapidly in Hyderabad. While Shah Rukh Khan’s exit may have disappointed fans to some extent, curiosity has now grown around who will step into the role in his place.
