Pradeep Ranganathan’s latest film Love Insurance Company, directed by Vignesh Shivan, has opened to a disappointing response despite his recent success streak. The futuristic romantic drama received negative to mixed reviews from day one. While Telugu audiences largely rejected the film, it managed a moderate run in Tamil Nadu.
However, the makers recently announced that the film collected ₹54.3 crore gross worldwide within the first week, with around ₹40 crore coming from India. These figures have sparked skepticism among audiences and trade analysts, who question their authenticity given the film’s weak reception. Some even allege that the numbers are inflated for publicity. Starring Krithi Shetty, the sci-fi romantic comedy’s long-term performance remains uncertain, raising questions about whether this film marks a setback in Pradeep’s successful run.
