Highest in Yadadri, Lowest in Bhadradri District
The first phase of Telangana Panchayat elections recorded an impressive voter turn out of 84.28%. Out of 53.57 lakh eligible voters, 45.15 lakh exercised their franchise. Among the districts, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri registered the highest turnout at 92.88%, while Bhadradri Kothagudem recorded the lowest at 71.79%.
Nalgonda, Suryapet and Khammam districts also witnessed over 90% polling. By midnight, counting was completed for 3,300 sarpanch seats and 24,906 ward member positions, according to officials.
