Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to ensure that all government welfare hostels are fully equipped with necessary facilities before schools reopen in June. During a review meeting held at the State Secretariat via RTGS, the Chief Minister stressed that hostels must be clean, well-maintained, and student-friendly. He instructed authorities to ensure the availability of toilets, RO plants, proper food, clean drinking water, and hygiene standards, leaving no room for complaints. He warned that any lapses despite allocated funds would be considered negligence on the part of officials.
He also emphasized the need to strengthen urban infrastructure, including uninterrupted drinking water supply, proper street lighting, sanitation, and waste management. The Chief Minister called for regular inspections by senior officials and urged prompt grievance redressal systems to address public complaints efficiently. He highlighted the importance of providing safe and uncontaminated drinking water, regular testing of water samples, and preventing drainage contamination. Citing Tadipatri as a model town for cleanliness, he encouraged leaders and officials to take proactive initiatives to achieve visible improvements under programs like Swachh Survekshan.
